This is a realtime character study I carried out in which I wanted to push the level of realism I could achieve and my hand sculpting skills in regards to faces. The character's head was sculpted from a sphere in ZBrush, using texturingxyz as a base for the pores and sculpting more tertiary details in on top. The hair was generated using guides created in XGen for Maya. All retopology was carried out by hand in Maya. UV unwrapping was all carried out in Maya. The baking was carried out using a mixture of Substance Painter and Marmoset and texture work was done exclusively in Substance Painter with the head being hand painted. The character was rendered out in Marmoset Toolbag. 1x 4k maps, 1x 2k map.
